About Me

Christina of Sage Stills Photography based in Philadelphia - Portrait, Intimate Wedding, and Maternity Photographer

How It All Started

It all started with a disposable camera on a family trip to the Delaware Water Gap when I was five.. I snapped away at anything that caught my eye, filling the roll before we were halfway through the trip. And honestly? I haven’t put a camera down since :) I got my first DSLR when I was 17, and took Photography classes in college.

My mom was the queen of documenting everything; Birthdays, backyard barbeques, random Tuesday afternoons - and I think that’s where I caught the bug. Having those many moments to look back on is something I’ll always treasure, and now I get to do the same for others!

My Hobbies

Outside of photography my free time is spent out in the sun, taking photos of birds, hiking to waterfalls, or between the trees in a hammock. There’s so much beauty in the world and I want to see all of it! Road trips, hiking, camping, kayaking you name it - i’m there! When I’m not out exploring, I’m home working on new creative projects, always dipping my toes into new forms of art or learning a new song on Guitar. I grew up playing the Violin, and have picked up a plethora of instruments along the way. My background in Music is increasingly helpful when it comes to my full-time job as the Manager of a Music School :)

Why I Do This

For me, photos are about so much more than just having “nice pictures”. They’re about the messy, in-between moments: the goofy laughter that makes your cheeks hurt, the quick glance across the room that says everything, the hugs you wish lasted longer. That’s the magic I chase!

I love capturing earthy, moody shots that feel natural and true to life. Think cozy, woodsy vibes, soft golden light, and images that feel like nostalgia. Years from now, I want you to flip through your photos and feel it all over again like you’re right back in that moment. That’s why I do this <3
